Plate a difference with your colleagues.
Lovin from the Oven gives you the opportunity to ‘plate a difference’ in the lives of families with ill or injured children.
For many families who call Ronald McDonald House WA their home away from home, days are spent juggling medical appointments while taking care of their child.
By donating your time and cooking talents, you and your colleagues or friends can make things easier for families who need it most.
The minimum age for participation in the Lovin from the Oven program is 16 years.
We have a maximum capacity of 10 team members in our commercial kitchen.
To ensure all food safety standards are met, we require all ingredients to be delivered to Ronald McDonald House at QEII the day before your booking. One of our friendly volunteers will check all orders to ensure everything is sealed and unopened. Once checks are complete, your order will be safely stored in our commercial fridge ready for your arrival.
Please use the following delivery address:
[Name of Person who booked], LFTO – Commercial Kitchen
21 Monash Avenue
Nedlands, WA, 6009
You’re free to prepare any style of morning tea, excluding nuts. We recommend finger food for approximately 60 people. We kindly request no big bakes. You’ll have 90 minutes of ‘cook time’, factor this in when planning recipes.
Download our Culinary Toolkit flyer to see what equipment and items will be available for your use in our commercial kitchen during your cooking experience.
Popular items include: sandwiches, savoury slices, fruit kebabs, frittatas and health muffins. We kindly request you consider healthy options and limit the sweet treats.
Lovin from the Oven is only available weekday mornings. If you’re interested in a weekend opportunity, please read more about The Big Breakfast.
