Adopt a Room

Help families with ill or injured children stay together, enjoy home-cooked meals and receive compassionate support from staff and volunteers, far from home.

The Adopt a Room program is an annual funding contribution dedicated to providing supported accommodation for WA families with ill or injured children, in our Ronald McDonald House at QEII, Ronald McDonald House on Park or our Parent Accommodation in Perth Children’s Hospital.

Ronald McDonald House at QEII or Ronald McDonald House on Park

By adopting a room at Ronald McDonald House at QEII or Ronald McDonald House on Park, you can provide a family with a safe haven, the opportunity to recharge and get the rest they need so they can offer the strongest support possible to their child.

Our impact reporting tells us that helping families stay together at a critical and fragile time in their lives eases the burden of their difficult journey.

Through the Adopt a Room program, you can help families stay together and close to the medical care their child needs.

We help families like Tegan's, access the medical care and resources they need to focus on what truly matters; each other.

“I can’t verbalise the extent the House has done for me and my family, and I am beyond grateful not only to the staff and the volunteers, but every single person who has ever donated their time or money.” – Tegan, Cobber’s mum

Through our Adopt a Room Program, you can help provide comfort, care and support to families like the Tegan and Cobber’s.

Parent Accommodation in Perth Children’s Hospital

Ronald McDonald House Charities WA manages a 14‑bedroom Parent Accommodation facility on Level 5 of Perth Children’s Hospital, providing a vital haven for families during some of the toughest of times.

Our Parent Accommodation in Perth Children’s Hospital supports both metropolitan and regional families who need to stay on the wards while their child receives critical care. By adopting a room, you directly help families of critically ill or injured children, breastfeeding mothers of at‑risk babies, parents facing emergency or unplanned admissions, and families navigating complex treatments such as transplants.

Your support keeps parents close to their child’s bedside, and ensures families have a comfortable place to rest and recharge within the hospital.

When a child in WA needs specialist medical treatment, all roads lead to Perth

At Ronald McDonald House WA, we believe when families are together, they cope better. We believe no family should have to deal with their child’s medical journey alone.

We help families with ill or injured, access the medical care and resources they need to focus on what truly matters; each other.
