Step into our inviting Ronald McDonald House Family Room which features a spacious lounge area, a children’s play area, a private parenting room, child and adolescent changing facilities, mobile phone and device charging station, kitchen areas with complimentary tea and coffee facilities, quiet zones, computers with internet access and more.
Kulunga Moort Mia meaning ‘children’s family place’ is a culturally sensitive space where Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander families can rest and make refreshments during their hospital visit.
Located next to the Ronald McDonald House Family Room Perth Children’s Hospital, overlooking the beautiful green spaces at the hospital. Kulunga Moort Mia has a range of seating as well as toys, books and activities for children.
Families can use the room to meet with Perth Children’s Hospital’s Aboriginal Liaison Officers for support and information about services offered by the hospital.
We want to make sure families have a home-away-from-home inside the hospital, away from the clinical environment of the ward.
That’s why these Family Rooms have been purposefully designed for the use of parents, carers, guardians and their families with children undergoing inpatient or outpatient treatment at Perth Children’s Hospital.
Both spaces are located on the ground floor of the Perth Children’s Hospital, near the northern entrance of the hospital which opens onto the hospital’s green space.

Located on level 4, our Ronald McDonald House Family Room in Fun on Four is an inviting space for you and your family to unwind away from the hospital wards.
Our 14 bedroom Parent Accommodation is located on level 5 of the hospital. Stays here are allocated on a case-by-case by the hospital, social workers and health authorities.
